Baseball season is here, and a new study says some of the biggest stars in Major League Baseball are playing right here in New York.

Aaron Judge Ranked Baseball’s Most Valuable Batter

Bovada ranked the top “most valuable” batters in MLB using player statistics like home runs, runs scored, Wins Above Replacement, and overall impact on games. At the top of the list was Aaron Judge of the New York Yankees. Judge had the highest Batter Value Score in baseball with a 9.50 out of 10.

Every Yankee fan will have a chance to see exactly how valuable Judge is. He's on the injured list with a stress fracture in his right first rib and will be out for at least 4 to 6 weeks.

Mets Stars Also Cracked The Top 10

The New York Mets also had strong representation in the rankings. Juan Soto was fourth overall after scoring 120 runs and hitting 43 home runs last year. Teammate Francisco Lindor also made the top 10, ranking seventh overall.

New York teams stood out more than any other state, with both the Yankees and Mets placing multiple players among baseball’s top hitters.

Shohei Ohtani And Cal Raleigh Rounded Out The Top Three

Shohei Ohtani of the Los Angeles Dodgers ranked second overall. Ohtani led all players in runs scored and had the highest “Win Probability Added” when batting. Cal Raleigh of the Seattle Mariners ranked third after blasting a league leading 60 home runs. Even with the MLB season underway, the study shows New York fans have some of the biggest offensive stars in baseball.
