Yesterday (March 17th) was St. Patrick's Day and unlike previous years, you decided not to have a green cold one. Is it because it was on a Monday or did you just find yourself not feeling it?

Well, you may not be alone because it looks like something is changing in New York this year. MyRX Outlet did a nationwide survey with over 3,400 people to find out their drinking habit By the looks of things, people in New York might be cutting back.

Shifts in New York's Drinking Culture

The survey found out that over 45% of New Yorkers are planning to cut back on the booze in 2025. That's a lot of people rethinking their whole relationship with alcohol and might be looking to switch things up.

Spending on Booze in the Empire State

The average New Yorker spends over $60 ($61.94) on alcohol every month. That gives us a peek into how much money they are spending on their drinks over the course of a year.

What It All Means for New York

These findings show that New York might be in the middle of a shake-up when it comes to alcohol. With many residents planning to cut back on their drinking, it got me thinking about what's driving these changes and how this could effect might social circles around the state.

As New Yorkers figure out how to approach their drinking in 2025, it'll be interesting to see if these plans actually lead to changes in how alcohol fits into their favorite establishments.

This peek into people's views in New York, along with the other states, and their behaviors about drinking could be part of bigger trend. Only time will tell.
