Meet the Owner-Operator of the New Johnson City Chick-fil-A
Danielle Cannella, who learned she'd been selected to be the owner-operator of the new Johnson City Chick-fil-A restaurant seven months ago, says she's looking forward to Thursday's opening.
Cannella, a Pennsylvania native, found out she had been chosen to serve as the local owner of the Oakdale Commons location on St. Patrick's Day.

Speaking in the quiet dining area of the new Johnson City Chick-fil-A restaurant, Cannella discussed her experience in learning about how the company operates.
She participated in the Chick-fil-A leadership development program which offers a hands-on experience for prospective future owner-operators.
Cannella said she spent time at 13 restaurants over the past four years.
Cannella said she and her husband have enjoyed getting acclimated to the Binghamton area over the last few months.
She said Chick-fil-A is committed to "giving back to the community" through various initiatives, including providing a $25,000 donation to Feeding America to support the Food Bank of the Southern Tier.
Cannella said the Johnson City restaurant is creating about 180 jobs. All of the available positions have been filled.
The Oakdale Commons Chick-fil-A restaurant is scheduled to open Thursday at 6:30 a.m.
Johnson City police chief Brent Dodge said his agency has worked with Chick-fil-A and state Department of Transportation representatives to develop the traffic control plan for the opening of the business.
